On behalf of the German Federal Ministry of Food and Agriculture (BMEL), the Agency for Renewable Resources (FNR) invites you to two online workshops “Off the peat path - Alternative substrates for mushroom cultivation” on 4^th April 2023 and “Off the peat path - Wood fibres as an alternative to peat in substrates”  on 25^th April 2023.

The two workshops are follow-up events to the "Off the peat path - Suitability and availability of alternative substrates for peat use in European horticulture" workshop held on 22 November 2022. The events will focus on peat reduced mushroom cultivation and wood fibres as an alternative to peat. Scientists from Europe will present their research results. Moreover, participants will have the opportunity to contribute by partaking in the discussion.

With these events, we want to continue to support knowledge exchange and networking of European researchers in the field of peat use reduction. In this spirit, we would be pleased to welcome you at our online workshops in April!

Sehr geehrte Damen und Herren,

im Auftrag des Bundeslandwirtschaftsministeriums (BMEL) lädt die Fachagentur Nachwachsende Rohstoffe e. V. (FNR) am 4. und 25. April 2023 zu zwei Online Workshops „Off the peat path -Alternative substrates for mushroom cultivation” und „Off the peat path - Wood fibres as an alternative to peat in substrates”  ein.

Die beiden Workshops sind Folgeveranstaltungen des “Off the peat path - Suitability and availability of alternative substrates for peat use in European horticulture" Workshops vom 22. November 2022. Im Fokus der Veranstaltungen stehen der torfreduzierte Pilzanbau und Holzfaser als Torfersatz. Referierende aus Europa werden dazu Ihre Forschungsergebnisse vorstellen. In der Diskussion können sich Teilnehmende in die Debatte einbringen.

Mit der Veranstaltung wollen wir den Wissenstransfer und die Vernetzung europäischer Forschender im Bereich Torfminderung weiterhin nachhaltig unterstützen. In diesem Sinne würde ich mich freuen, Sie auf den Veranstaltungen im April 2023 begrüßen zu dürfen!
